After moving to Pittsburgh and taking up cycling, a simple question came up: could you cross every bridge in the city?
Turns out, even figuring out how many bridges there actually are isnโt easy. Most sources rely on secondhand data - often incomplete or duplicated.
This project takes a different approach: physically locating, verifying, and mapping each bridge to create a definitive, explorable record.
Pittsburgh has more bridges than Venice. The three identical suspension bridges downtown are the only trio of their kind in the world.
